ENTRELAZADO PERPETUO / PERPETUAL INTERTWINING

About

Born in Argentina and raised across Argentina, Brazil, and the United States, Vazquez's practice is shaped by a transnational experience that investigates shelter as both a physical structure and a metaphor for protection, adaptation, and home. Through monumental abstract paintings and sculptural forms constructed from unconventional materials, Entrelazado Perpetuo / Perpetual Intertwining invites audiences to reflect on migration, displacement, resilience, and belonging. "This exhibition builds on my exploration of the idea of Continuous Collaboration. It is not collaboration in the traditional participatory or social sense, but rather an ontological collaboration. The work needs the world in order to fully exist." — Leandro Vazquez
